Insulated Glass

What it is:

A prefabricated unit made of two or more glass panes, which have been separated by an air gap and edge-sealed together.

What it does:

  • Provides Insulation: Saves on heating and cooling by reducing air to air heat transfer
  • Prevents Dew Condensation: The insulating effect of air layer makes it difficult for glass to become cold.
  • Retards Sound Transmission: Insulating glass reduces sound transmission drastically.
  • Pleasant Room Temperature: The lack of cold or warm droughts leads to pleasant internal environment.
  • Increases strength: Glass can withstand wind load and gives high standard finish to the building.
